One of the hottest restaurants in Charleston belongs to the the 167 Hospitality Group, with locations in Nantucket, Maine and 167 Raw on King Street. Known for the freshest of fresh fish, lobster, sushi and oysters, to name a few items, 167 is chic, tiny and hip. The sushi location in Charleston boasts daily entrepreneur vibes with locals in their flip flops and shorts. The service is, bar none, excellent, and the little I tried of the menu was fantastic! Most seating is at the bar where you watch the chef prepare the dishes. We ate the Tuna Tataki: fresh, spicy sauce and sooo tasty with Ghost Grow 843 microgreens for garnish. The Lamb and Wagyu Tsukune was out of this world! Tender, deep-fried rounds of lamb and waygu beef with spicy dipping sauce. Great wine and beer list, and make reservations my friends! You can’t get in without.
