Arguably the best in Charleston, Fig has received acclaim for sourcing products with integrity, flavor and soul, offered seasonally. They are the top at perfecting the total cuisine experience, service, food and wine. Server Ashley was a pro, accommodating my wine snobbery with aplomb, a fantastic Barolo! The house-made chicken liver pate with brioche garnished by perfect pickles and cornichons, sooo lip smacking. My dinner choice was the Cast-Iron Coulotte Steak – perfectly prepared with a creamy red Russian kale and marrow toast in a Bordelaise sauce, each bite melding a symphony of flavors. The finale included a Sauterne with a coconut, pineapple frosty dessert, capping the experience as top notch, bar none.
