What’s been one of the biggest contributors to the added weight we’ve all gained during Covid 19?

Cookies.

Cookie consumption across the country has increased more than 25% since we’ve gone into lockdown. So much so that one in five Americans are considered “cookie addicts,” consuming over three per day according to research from TOP Data. The top flavors are the classics: chocolate chip, sugar, oatmeal raisin and Snickerdoodle. Utah residents are the biggest cookie consumers followed closely by Idahoans and Oregonians.

No surprise then that Christmas icon Mariah Carey, who already has nineteen No.1 singles and a best selling book, had decided to launch her own brand of cookies. The treats are a partnership between the singer, Planet Hollywood CEO and restaurateur Robert Earl and delivery pioneer Virtual Dining Concepts.

The cookies, which come in five classic and three holiday flavors, are available for delivery through GrubHub, DoorDash, Postmates, UberEats and Seamless in 30 major markets across the country including Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Phoenix, San Diego, Louisville, Columbus and Sacramento. Flavors include Chocolate Chunk, Triple Chocolate Chunk, Heath Bar, Lemon Cooler, Spiced Oatmeal Raisin, White Chocolate Cranberry, Pumpkin and Gingerbread and can be ordered by the half-dozen or dozen.
