Asking a guy born and raised in NYC to review pizza from another town is a dangerous proposition. Frankly, there is no comparison. The salty, slightly burnt chew of the crust on this Detroit square pizza is a hit in every bite. The thin tangy tomato sauce works perfectly with the Wisconsin brick cheese. The OG Buddy’s locale is old-style and genuine and offers a full menu. But make no mistake. This is not NY pizza. It’s Detroit. All Detroit. And it’s damn good.
