C’mon. How else to start the day in the deep south than with a biscuit and gravy breakfast! I made one major miscalculation, though. Legendary Brent’s Drugs was closed when I wandered by at 8 a.m. on a Sunday morning. Of course it was. Church! Duhhh.  So I found my way to Broad Street Baking Company and I’m glad I did. The cheerful and sunny bakery had a long line for takeout, but I went sit-down full-on. Spicy sausage added a nice flavor to the gravy, and the eggs and biscuit were perfect. With a surgeon in scrubs gorging on similar nearby, I felt safe and in good hands in Jackson.,
