Mouthwatering food fragrances drifting down the staircase as I walked into the Lowland Tavern, latest creation of James Beard Award winner and Executive Chef Jason Stanhope. A classy, warm, timeless feeling enveloped me as I sat window-view beside a candlelit fireplace. “I wanted this to be a place where everyone feel’s welcome,” says Chef Stanhope, chatting between breaks of oyster shucking. The star of the social posts has been the Lobster Buccatini. I was craving it, and food orgasm followed as the luscious creamy, cognac, bacon espellette spiced sauce was lapped up with big chucks of lobster throughout. Food extraordinaire, excellent service, expectations exceeded, my new go-to!
