Grilled Oysters
On a stifling hot humid summer’s eve, Bearcat served up an oasis for hungry diners. Lush green plants and hip music played as we sat at the bar. First up, grilled oysters. Arriving on a bed of charcoal and seaweed, smoke rising from the platter, the oysters were served in creamed leek sauce with garnished with crispy shallots. Magnifique! The pork belly was a main for me, lip-smacking good. My friend ordered the market golden tilefish, perfectly cooked, fresh and delicious. A light dessert of local melon, so refreshing! If you have to pick a spot in Charleston, no disappointments here. Unique flavor combos, food styling and excellent service.
