Duck Galantine
Always looking forward to the pop-ups that Merci CHS hosts, because the atmosphere is buzzing and the foodies are out in force. Merci Chef Mike and wife Courtney own and operate The Drifter, a bespoke event and culinary company. Their new resto, Merci CHS at 28 Pitt Street is under construction. Back to eating, yes they bake their own bread. The focaccia with balsamic vinegar, honey and stracciatella? Lord help me! OK, I had two entrees. First, the ricotta gnudi: flavorful sauce and tender gnudi, mouth melting. Next, duck galantine with fig aigre doux, indescribably superb! The flavors are perfectly paired and presentations beautiful. Fantastic wine list too. When Merci opens, it will be tres difficile to get a resy. I cannot wait, along with the rest of Charleston.
