Broiled Lobster Tail
An all-time dining favorite whenever I’m in Charleston is High Cotton, located in the downtown historic district. From the initial greeting to the service to the cuisine and ambience, it’s all excellent. My dining experience began with freshly shucked oysters on the half shell and a French Rosé Champagne. Next, the hearts of romaine salad brought to the table by the charming manager of the restaurant, complete with mask due to Covid 19 restrictions. Delish, with a French Chablis as I awaited my main. The broiled lobster and brococolini was cooked to perfection! My waiter, Jordan, endured my questions and conversation with humor and charm. For dessert I ordered the duo of a praline ice cream and chocolate. And may I add, the jazz trio playing toe-tapping yet appropriate dining music left me feeling uplifted. An entirely exceptional experience from beginning to end.
