Le Papagayo is a fantastic restaurant with two locations in San Diego’s coastal north county. I’ve been wanting to order paella for some time and it’s rarely found on restaurant menus. The version here is called “Barcelona Traditional Paella” and it is excellent. Really an exquisite dish. An abundance of salmon, chicken, shrimp, mussels, and linguica sausage in a flavorful chorizo saffron rice. It’s not so huge that you have to share it. Lobster Bisque was outstanding as well. Had a good amount of discernible lobster chunks. All of the staff were most exceptional! Highly recommended.
