I am a tartare aficionado, well-versed in anything the French can throw at me. This Japanese-inflected version really bites back! The beef itself boasts a generous dose of Togarashi, the flavorful Japanese spice. Complement that with the “dynamite aioli” and you have a whole new dish here. Franklin Avenue, hidden in a downtown alleyway, was jumping on a Monday night–and that includes their downstairs speakeasy space. The Utah Old-fashioned I imbibed was superb. Salt Lake City, who knew?
