Sticky Bun
Does a sugar-coated pastry qualify as a dish? I think so, if you’d go out of your way for it. The sticky bun at the Whitney House in Columbus’ charming Worthington neighborhood is the perfect way to start a leisurely Sunday brunch. This shareable hunk of heaven is studded with pecans and served warm in its own little cast iron skillet, surrounded by the gooey sauce we all associate with traditional sticky buns. As if this decadent pastry weren’t enough on its own, it’s accompanied by two thick slices of candied Ohio bacon for the ideal balance of salty and sweet. Call it breakfast or dessert. It works. Well!
