Texas Quail
Hopped straight off the plane and met up with an old friend at this buzzy little bistro in the King William neighborhood of San Antonio. This is one of those menus where everything looks awesome, but somehow the quail felt like the proper intro to a Texas road trip. What an elegant presentation of a crispy, moist bird under a delightful tasty egg on a bed of arugula. The frisee and lardons were the perfect complement to the dish. Great tabletop bar scene in a neighborhood ripe with choices.
