Shrimp Poboy
It’s the bread! So soft and crunchy. Trucked up daily from Gambino’s of New Orleans I am told. As a NYer plunked down in Oxford, Mississippi, I do not have a good sense of proximity, but I can tell you it’s a good investment. The shrimp are fried light and crispy without too much excess batter. The pickle and mayo make every bite a creamy/tangy delight. Even the fries hit just right. This is Desto food for sure. Ajax is a splashy bright diner in the iconic square of a legendary college town. I wonder what it’s like here when Ole Miss wins?
