One of the unsung menu items at Grand Ole BBQ in Flinn Springs is the Lady Bird’s Texas Red Chili. When going out to a restaurant I always strive to order something new and different. That’s hard to do here. Made with pork and beef with ground chilies, spices and beer, I order this just about every time I visit. I really appreciate that it’s Texas style with NO beans! This is one of those chilis that you continue to randomly taste long into the evening after you’ve left. Incredibly hearty and richly flavored with just the right amount of spice.  With temperatures plummeting it’s that time of year when I start craving chili. It’s like a warm hug in a bowl.
