In business since 2020, Smokey and the Brisket in La Mesa is such a fun, tasty place to visit! The lively décor is vintage industrial-style garage with plenty of seating inside and out. Happy Hour is every day which is a definite plus. There is a nice selection of beers on draft, outstanding craft cocktails, and the menu is impressive. Many smoked BBQ favorites along with some creative twists. Also, an interesting looking selection of flatbreads, burgers, salads, and sandwiches. Since macaroni and cheese is my favorite vegetable, I ordered the “Burnt Ends Mac”! House mac & cheese topped with fresh jalapeno slices and decadent BBQ brisket burnt ends. The table BBQ sauce was excellent. I look forward to visiting again soon.
