Little known fact about Chicago:  Windy City refers not to its weather, but the braggadocio of its politicians dating back to the 1890s World’s Fair. LKF #2:  Chicagoans love to argue about their pizza – Lou Malnati’s versus Giordano’s. LKF #3:  Hot dogs! Vienna Beef, of course. But the best? I will start the debate by offering up my favorite, the Char Dog from Poochie’s, up north Skokie way. It’s crunchy, crisp and just the right amount of salty off the well-seasoned grill. You custom pick your toppings, which is de rigeur to include the Chicago green relish, pickle, peppers, onion and celery salt. I think it is the latter that screams Cubs, Lake Michigan, the Bean, da Bears and everything I love about Chicago.
