The delightful Greek restaurant Melina is located in…well…North Bethesda? The Pike & Rose district of Rockville, Maryland? Near DC? All of the above, and it’s well worth the trip. The hearty beef tartare appetizer can serve perfectly as a main. It is distinctly NOT French. It packs an amazing flavor thanks to the additions of a spicy tomato paste that reminded me of Harissa, and the dusting of finely shredded Graviera cheese. The presentation is sublime and beautiful! As is the al fresco dining area, where the menu is resplendent with Greek choices. Melina is a summer’s night delight.
