Let me start by saying that I would fork over a pretty penny to stay at the Montage Palmetto Bluff solely for this cocktail. Over the course of my stay here, I lost count of how many glasses of Artillery Punch I threw back—and that’s saying something (I am not a heavy drinker and this one certainly packs a punch-get it?). The punch is the signature drink at the hotel’s Octagon Bar and contains a mouthful of different spirits: rum, gin, rye, and brandy, along with black tea, Luxardo cherry, and citrus. While it sounds quite potent—and don’t get me wrong, it is—it goes down quite easy, making it all too dangerous to have one too many. You won’t find me complaining though.
