Spicy Wontons
There is an art to finding a gem in a strip mall. Ignore your mapping technology. Just look for that one section of the parking lot that is jammed full of cars. You have arrived! Tai’s boasts a cheerful bistro/cafeteria-style ambience, with exposed industrial ceilings and a number of serving stations and a sushi bar. I opted for an abundant order of dumplings for a value-laden eight bucks. The tender doughy pillows were swimming in chili oil, with a surprisingly long noodle tail trailing off of each rivuleted delicacy. In addition to the chili zing, there was definitely a little ginger kick going on. Next trip I am torn: Pho, Mongolian barbecue, Banh mi? No lack of choices at Tai’s.
