If you are in the Fallbrook/Temecula/North County San Diego area, you MUST check out The Coal Bunker! Opened right before COVID, they serve everything homemade from scratch. Their menu features delicious comfort food, in addition to a great selection of local wines and craft beers. Their Bunker Burger brings the gruyere, caramelized onions, Bunker sauce and bacon on a brioche bun. The crispy cheese makes this one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! The restaurant is train themed with a cute antique-y feel. Even if you don’t live nearby, it is totally worth the trip. And be sure to save room for the Grapefruit Curd Cheesecake because it is THE BEST!
