Chicken Paillard
Southern Living Magazine voted it Best New Resto, Bon Appetit voted it in the top 50 New Resto’s, so we ducked into Little Jacks Tavern on a cold blustery night. Warm brick walls and the cozy atmosphere welcomed us in to sit at the bar, where my gal pal knows the drill and the people. Ahhhh…a glass of Gamay and Chicken Paillard, the sauce of capers and red onions, topped with arugula and cherry tomatoes in perfectly seasoned dressing. The juicy chicken hidden underneath was super tender and delicious. Definitely could use a fork to cut it, plus I had to order frites! Oh yeah baby, crunchy, hot and salty. The perfect dinner. If you are in Charleston and want a low key casual spot offering excellent wines, beer and cocktails. a well rounded menu, and Sunday and Tuesday night jazz piano, look no further.
