At big Al’s, be prepared for a total deviation from classic southern shrimp and grits. There’s a lot more going on here than just that. There’s bacon, there’s ham, there’s some tomato, and more. The shrimp were perfectly cooked. Everything about this place is big, especially the flavor structure. Come in and meet Al. He’s a hoot and very entertaining, serving southern fair at its best.
