Every year around Fat Tuesday I incur a wait problem; I start anxiously craving Paczkis from the award-winning Groovy Donuts, famous for its psychedelic decor, treat quality and creativity (MY GOSH, their pineapple upside down cake donut!). Their delicious, fluffy take on Paczkis are the best I’ve ever tasted. Groovy’s fillings – apple, blueberry, cherry, chocolate cream, cream, cream cheese, custard, lemon, prune lekvar, and raspberry – are distinct, perfectly complemented by the succulent cake that surrounds them. I enjoy the sweet-tart of their powered vegan lemon as well as the glazed Apple, served warm.
