Tu Taco Tienda Mexicana is 1/2 grocery store, 1/2 restaurant and 100% authentic Mexican goodness. Located in Madison Heights, Michigan, just north of Detroit, Tienda slings tacos, tostadas, tortas and burritos with all sorts of delicious protein stuffed inside. Everything we have ever eaten here (and we have eaten here A LOT!) is absolutely delicious. With that being said, the real sleeper at this strip-mall joint is their not-to-be-missed tripe tacos. Pictured here, the tripe is fried to perfection, topped with onion and cilantro and tucked inside two fresh corn tortillas. Add sauce if you must, these don’t need a drop. Detroit is home to many fantastic taco spots in and around the city. We feel this one is up there with the best of them.
