Sushi Rock & Grill is a brand new spot in the east valley at the corner of Pecos and Higley that you must try! Lunch specials run Mon. – Sat. and they’re a great deal, all under $12. Their food is so beautiful and delicious, totally Instagram-worthy. They have a huge menu with tons of options for non-sushi lovers, too. Dishes we tried included Takoyaki – fried octopus balls, bonito balls, and chef’s sauce; Iced Green Tea – a light refreshing tea perfect for the hot Arizona summer; Las Vegas Roll – salmon, crab mix, cream cheese, lightly fried and topped with eel sauce; and Blossom – salmon and avocado, topped with tuna and creamy ponzu sauce, plated with a tuna rose. The Blossom was my favorite because of how unique it is, and you can’t ignore the gorgeous plating. The Las Vegas wasn’t far behind. Normally fried rolls are too heavy for me, but the Las Vegas was light and delicious.
