Tucked just off of Chestnut Street on the edge of the Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood, Gabby’s Burgers and Fries has become a quiet Nashville favorite. Locally owned and operated, Gabby’s serves up fantastic burgers and impeccable customer service. The Seamus Burger is living proof that you shouldn’t try to fix what’s not broken. It’s a juicy 5oz. patty with a melty cheese blanket of your choice. I enlisted a big ol’ slice of American, as well as ketchup, mustard, mayo, pickles and lettuce to take up some space under a toasted bun. The entire combination resulted in a rich, classic melody that hit all the notes that the perfect burger is supposed to. Cooked medium-well by default, I wouldn’t have requested anything different. The fries that accompanied the Seamus were seasoned with peppery excellence and walked the line between crispy and soft with precision. Gabby’s knows burgers, and we’re all better for it.
