Rolled Tacos
Who drives 551 miles with his foot mashed to the gas pedal for the last 90 minutes just to get to a place before it closes? Well, when that place is Chico’s Tacos in El Paso, the answer is ME! They were already closing up when I screeched in on two wheels, but luckily, Chico’s mainstay was still available: Rolled Tacos. Ground beef in a crunchy rolled shell swimming in a tangy tomato sauce covered with oozing, melted, shredded cheese. This is comfort food galore, fast food Mexican a mile from the border, the lights of Ciudad Juarez visible in the distance. I will return and try the whole darned menu.
