There are finds and then there are finds. This unassuming Salvadoran Tex-Mex cafe is an urban oasis with lovely outdoor seating on a residential block in the Columbia Heights neighborhood of DC. The marg-ees are terrific and the service delightfully congenial. My pork and cheese pupusa was a study in flavorful simplicity. And the chicken tamale had a lightness many tamales do not! It was almost custardy, yet did not fall apart. I cleaned this platter empty. Highly recommend going one block off of 14th Street and discovering this pleasant and authentic eatery.
