I have always considered pizza one of my culinary loves. I think that bad pizza is better than no pizza at all. While San Diego corners the market on tacos, it has never really been known as a pizza town. There are a few standouts however. The slices here at Giant Pizza NY Style in San Diego’s Rancho Bernardo neighborhood are excellent! They offer a variety of specials, but one big (giant) slice is a perfect, satisfying lunch. The crust has a nice crispness to it with a slight yeasty flavor that I adore. It’s foldable without being floppy which is important. Very well balanced, including the cheese, zesty sauce and generous toppings.
