Lamb Chops
Talk about a neighborhood steakhouse that hits all the right notes! Walking in to the smell of char-grilled steaks and a rock and roll soundtrack, I was ready to chow down. ChopHouse Thirteen has been a mainstay in Jacksonville for 50 years, known previously as the Tree Steakhouse. In 2019, new owners modernized the look and feel. The wine list is excellent, with something for every palate. Choosing lamb chops to accompany my Bordeaux Superieur, I settle in to chat with the bartender and other diners. First, a refreshing, creamy burrata salad with fresh cherry tomatoes of green and red. Next, the lamb chops are piled so high I’m not sure I can eat them all, as perfectly cooked as they are. Juicy, tender and meaty, sliced from a rack of lamb. Delicious! If you are in Jacksonville, stop in.
