We found Lauer Krauts on a quiet street in Brighton, Colorado–an unassuming spot with a pleasant patio for sunning and supping. We were greeted by Sandy who helped us into an original Krautburger with pepper jack cheese. From the kitchen came a lovely pillow of deliciously soft dough baked to a golden brown and containing a mixture of ground beef, cabbage, onion, and spices that had simmered together until just right.
