Krautburger
I had to Google it later to learn that krautburgers were an actual thing! We found Lauer Krauts on a quiet street in Brighton, Colorado–an unassuming spot with a pleasant patio for sunning and supping. We were greeted by Sandy who helped us into an original Krautburger with pepper jack cheese. From the kitchen came a lovely pillow of deliciously soft dough baked to a golden brown and containing a mixture of ground beef, cabbage, onion, and spices that had simmered together until just right. So this is a krautburger. And you can buy them by the dozen! Make the trip to Brighton to enjoy this special place, its charming staff, and their wonderful, authentic offerings.
