Did you know that our nation’s Capital boasts the largest concentration of Ethiopians in the US? Hence: easier to find good Ethiopian food than a slice in DC! Behold this sampler: Kitfo, beef tibs, and Shiro (the veggie portion). I always go for the Kitfo, and this one nailed it. Hand-ground raw beef with Ethiopian spices and butter. It pops differently than a tartare, small beefy smears wrapped in the traditional injera flatbread. No forks here, every bite a flavor delight. Great buzzy Adams Morgan vibe, outdoor tables, and jazz down the block. Tsehay hits all the right notes. Highly recommend.
