Don’t get me wrong. I love a beautiful, expertly prepared fancy-shmancy dinner, but that wasn’t what I was hungry for when I walked into Midtown’s Rivière Modern Bánh Mì this week. I asked my bartender for the crowd favorite appetizer, and she gave me the look that you get from a great service professional that tells you you’re getting hooked up with the good stuff. Piled high with sweet-savory bulgogi beef and doused in decadent buttery beer cheese, the Gangnam Style Fries elevated this stadium food to an art (and one that tips its hat to the rich Vietnamese and Korean cultural influences on OKC’s food scene). This was a great dish for sharing before moving on to Rivière’s delicious and innovative Bánh Mì sandwiches.
