When every last person on earth tells you to go someplace, it had better be good. McGarvey’s was. For a tourist town, the front-of-house saloon was surprisingly local: friendly, packed, and the hometown Navy football team was on the tube. Few states boast a local specialty as much as Maryland does, so we started with the lump crab dip. Crazy creamy good, with ample chunks of crabmeat swimming in the flavorful dip. The dipping loaves were hot and tasty. It is so filling for two that you really don’t need to order the crab cakes, too. We did.
