Churros
Oso’s light blue and pink palette fits right in with the colorful adobe buildings in Oklahoma City’s Paseo Arts District. True to its namesake, a masked bear looms over the entrance. You didn’t have to chase me inside, though, because I was already running. After eating one of their signature tacos, the brisket burnt ends, and the cauliflower picadillo, I hadn’t saved room for dessert. Thank goodness I ordered the cinnamon sugar-dusted churros anyway. They were fried crisp, yet light and airy on the inside. The ice cream on the side is the real deal and has flakes of vanilla bean. I used spoonfuls of ice cream to scoop the oso good chocolate sauce from the plate. Oso is also a tiki bar, so even their churros come with a flower garnish.
