“Chopped” Star Chef Amanda Freitag’s Favorite Salad

Amanda is a restaurateur, philanthropist, and judge on the Food Network’s hit TV show, “Chopped,” and a fan of Ken Carlton’s latest book, Food for Marriage.

Whenever I go home to Jersey, where I grew up, I always head to Neptune’s for their excellent Caesar Salad. The dressing and croutons are hand-made and you can’t go wrong with the grilled shrimp or poached chicken on the side. They do a perfect iced tea and in the summertime, their local peach cobbler? Do not miss! One bite of that pie and I’m a kid in the back of the woody wagon heading to the Jersey Shore.
