Places get a reputation for lots of reasons. Maybe because it’s housed in an old gas station. Or perhaps because rumor has it Mr. Taylor Swift calls it his fav bbq in KC. Regardless, pound per inch this is about the best meal you will ever drive out of your way for! There are oodles of sandwich choices, but I went all in on two meats – brisket and sausage. The brisket was sliced thin and juicy beyond belief, the sauce zingy! The links? Every bite tasted like a smokehouse, the Laphraiog of sausages. The beans side popped with bits of meat to offset the sweetness. Even the Texas toast was superior. At lunchtime the line snakes out the door. Breathe in the aroma and look at all those satisfied souls. Well worth the wait.
