Well  let’s just call this dish what it is: grilled goat! A delicious, charred, flavorful, spicy heap of smoky meat – accompanied by Mokimo, which is a mash of peas and potato, and the West African go-to, Jollof rice. One of our guests, a Ghanian Ph.D. candidate, led me to The Yellow Sauce, which is a pepper bomb explosion of joy with each dip of the goat. The meal, washed down with a Tusker beer on draft, hit on every note. Swahili Village has a nice, louche lounge feel to it and I noticed they have dancing on the weekends. Feels like a return visit to me.
